2019 F150 Supercrew at Bolivar Ford

Are you looking for a new truck with plenty of power, cool features, and top safety ratings? Then look no further than the 2019 Ford F-150 Supercrew Cab.

As the pickup truck wars show no signs of stopping anytime soon, it’s clear that Ford is giving the other brands a run for their money.

We were lucky enough to drive this awesome truck and can’t wait to share the experience with you. Continue reading to learn what’s in store if you decide to get the new 2019 Ford F-150 Supercrew Cab for yourself.

What Makes it a Supercrew?

As the F-150’s most luxurious designation, the Supercrew cab can seat up to six people. It offers two rows of front-hinged doors and is great if you’re bringing a lot of people or gear with you.

The trim levels for the Ford F-150 are XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Raptor, and Limited. The Supercrew cab is only available on trims Lariat and above.

The Supercrew cab can be paired with a standard or short truck bed.

The Supercrew that we drove had a wonderfully massive cabin. The center console was large, the cupholders were deep, and the in-door bins could hold large water bottles.

Interior

The 2019 F-150 comes with a beautiful, Camelback interior. We really love the flying W embroidered on the center console cover. And the wood grain strips on the doors were an especially nice touch.

Not only are the seats ventilated and heated, they even come with a massage function. And there’s tons of legroom for everyone in the front and back row. Even if you slide your seat all the way back, the person behind you will still be comfortable.

If you need some extra cargo space, the back row folds up, giving you plenty of room.

Tech

Ford didn’t skimp on the infotainment system when they were designing this beauty. The F-150’s Sync 3 infotainment system comes on a large 8-inch touchscreen. It even includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The truck also comes with a 4G-LTE WiFi hotspot. This function can support up to 10 different devices. It’s especially helpful if you end up somewhere without any cell coverage.

There are also USB inputs in the front and back rows as well as a 12-volt outlet.

The 360-degree camera view also comes with a split-view display. The feature utilizes four different cameras. One under each side-view mirror, one in the grille, and one on the tailgate. It also provides a hitch-assist feature so you can place your hitch right the first time.

Performance

The latest edition of the Ford F-150 comes with a major addition: a 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V6 engine. That helps give the truck 440 pound-feet of torque and 250 horsepower.

The diesel engine truck will get you more torque than the V8 and can carry up to 11,400 pounds. That’s certainly enough strength for you to do some serious towing.

The best part about the F-150’s diesel engine is that you can’t even tell it’s diesel. Typically diesel engines can feel underwhelming.

The F-150 is able to circumvent this problem by putting power to the rear wheels or through a 10-speed automatic transmission in the available 4-wheel drive. This allows the diesel engine to operate in its ideal power band for efficiency and output.

In fact, this is also true for pretty much all the other available engines in the F-150.

Thanks to this distribution of power, the engine can offer confident and smooth acceleration while pulling evenly. It’s rather quiet inside the cabin too. Those who haven’t driven a diesel engine before will be able to transition over smoothly.

Safety

The 2019 Ford F-150 is the best performing pickup truck in IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) passenger-side safety testing. It’s the only truck to earn the best safety rating in every category.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also awarded the F-150 a 5-star rating for driver and passenger for all crash test modes. It also awarded the truck with a 5-star overall vehicle score.

The F-150 comes with BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with trailer coverage. The feature uses radar on both sides of your truck to detect a vehicle that you might not see. It then indicates via a blinking light on your side view mirror if there is another vehicle in your blind spot.

The Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology includes Pre-Collision Assist with AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking). This safety feature scans the road ahead of you and pre-charges your brakes if it senses an obstruction approaching. It will also give you a visual and audible warning.

Ford’s available Lane-Keeping System helps to keep you driving straight. It is able to scan the lines on either side of your vehicle. If you veer too close to another lane, your steering wheel will vibrate.

If you veer a certain number of times, a coffee cup icon will appear on your dashboard. This is a suggestion that it might be time to take a break for a bit.
